Cylinder Accessories

Components that let a cylinder be specified rather than reordered: a modular assembly kit for on-site length, a steel anti-snap bar, twelve pin codes, fifteen finishes, fifteen keyway profiles and fourteen key head styles.

Modular Length Instead of Fixed SKUs

A fixed-length cylinder forces a distributor to stock every combination a market asks for, 30/30, 30/40, 35/45, 40/50 and so on. The modular kit replaces that shelf with four parts: a minimum-length base cylinder holding the pin mechanism, a reinforced connecting bridge that aligns the cam and joins the two halves, modular adapters that extend the barrel, and a dedicated set of high-tensile screws. A mechanical clutch keeps drive engaged between plug and cam, and the double-key cam is rotatable. Length is set on site by screw fixing, and the assembly stays on the Euro profile mortise standard.

Stopping the Snap

The anti-breaking insert is a bar of high-tensile special steel embedded along the bottom spine of a Euro profile housing, bridging the central cam recess and the M5 fixing hole, which is the thinnest section of a standard cylinder. It bonds the front and rear halves mechanically, so the external half cannot be snapped off to expose the mechanism. The bar sits flush, so the housing keeps its standard DIN dimensions and still fits a European mortise lockcase. It is supplied as an OEM component for cylinder manufacturing and assembly.

Pins, Finishes, Keyways and Key Heads

Twelve pin codes are offered, P1 to P6 key pins and P7 to P12 middle pins, from brass spool and dumbbell profiles through telescopic pins with hardened steel tips to a torpedo steel pin for bump and drill resistance. Fifteen finishes are listed, from polished and satin chrome through three nickel tones, bronze, enamel and black PVD, all salt spray tested. Keyways run W1 to W15, the first eight vertical and the rest horizontal dimple profiles. Key heads run H1 to H14, ten all-metal bows in brass or nickel silver and four polymer heads, H11 being standard on the 7×7 series.
