One Category, Four Materials, 10 mm to 90 mm Door Thickness
Two variables decide the part number: body material and the leaf thickness the viewer has to pass through. High-strength alloy steel covers fire-rated openings in the 4014 series, machined solid brass covers the widest spread from 10 mm to 85 mm, die-cast zinc alloy sits in the 35 mm to 60 mm band with an integrated eyepiece cover, and premium aluminium reaches deep panels up to 90 mm. Every model is threaded for its own thickness band, so specifying means measuring the leaf and matching it to the table rather than adapting one universal part.
Matching Material and Thickness to the Door
For fire-rated assemblies the 4014 steel series is certified for 1.5 hours (90 minutes) and comes as 35-50-AB, 40-60-CP, 60-80-G and 70-90-AC, all with a 14 mm tube and a 32 mm head. Brass 1012 models run from 10-15-PB through 16-25-AB, 25-38-CP and 35-55-ORB to 60-85-PB with a 12 mm tube and 16 mm head, while 1012M1-35-60-SN and 1014-35-60LG-CP add a 27 mm head. Zinc alloy 2014-35-60XG-AB uses a 14 mm tube and the 2014Z-35-60XG-G steps up to 16 mm with an integrated inner tube. Aluminium 5016 models cover 30-55-GA and 50-90-SA with a 16 mm tube and 30 mm head.
Covers, Extensions and Manufacturing Quality
Privacy is handled three ways: the F1012G solid brass cover fits any 12 mm brass tube, the F4014G alloy steel cover fits the 14 mm 4014 series and carries its own 1.5 hour certification, and the zinc alloy XG series builds the cover into the eyepiece. The F1012J-20 adds a 20 mm brass extension for thicker doors. Construction follows the material: machined solid brass, die-cast zinc alloy, premium grade aluminium and high-strength alloy steel, in chrome, brass, antique copper, satin nickel, gold or silver. OUPU has made door hardware since 2001 in an ISO9001 certified plant of 7,000 m2, offering OEM and ODM work with laser marking and private branding.
